Our
specifications for a problem free file…
- Design = Illustrator
- Document = RGB if possible
- Color settings = Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6
- Color Swatch = Pantone solid coated
- Convert all the fonts to graphics = create outlines
- Export the document to Legacy EPS, version 8
(Options to check: Include thumbnail, include CMYK postscript
in RGB files, compatible gradient and gradient mesh printing, use
printer default screen and Adobe postscript language 3)
Files
prepared according to our specifications will insure a better price
as well as a better reproduction of Pantone colors.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Files not being prepared according
to our specifications will have to be manipulated by our graphics
department at a 50$ hourly rate.
Types of files accepted (for PC only): AI, EPS, JPG, TIF, and PSD.
We recommend keeping your files in vector format as much as possible
(Illustrator) and using images in bitmap format (Photoshop)
Recommended print resolution
Billboard (seen from more than 30 feet) = 50 to 75 DPI final format
Regular signs (seen from more than 5 feet) = 125 to 150 DPI final
format
High quality signs (seen from less than 5 feet) = 200 to 300 DPI
final format
Colors:
Always use Illustrator or Photoshop Pantone Solid Coated “Color
Swatch” to ensure good color reproduction. We cannot guarantee
accurate color reproduction if your file is not prepared according
to our specifications.
Sample:
A sample can be made at your request. A fair price will be billed
according to the samples needed.
Fonts:
(Important)
All fonts should be converted to graphics or outlines
Bleed:
It is not necessary to make a bleed on your images.
